I’m starting Weight Watchers today.
For like the second (or maybe third) time.
It’s worked for me in the past, in fact I think it was the only “diet” plan that did. I put “diet” in quotations because it’s more of a way of life than it is a diet. Plus, I think my brain rebels when I tell it that I want to go on a diet. What can I say, I like to color outside the lines and buck the system a bit.
Anywho! It’s definitely going to take some getting used to this Points Plus system, I’m allotted way more points than I was on the previous system and I think that the list of restaurants has grown too.
I’m doing this go around with one of my best friends so that I can be held accountable for my actions. I think that that’s how I fell off the wagon before. I would cut corners or use my flex points, but that’s not going to be the case anymore. I’m giving myself a little over a year, a year and four months to meet my goal and be DEA ready. I think I can do it.
In fact, I know I can.
I have a few nay-sayers and though their words may hurt, I’m just going to have to rise above it and continue on with my goal. I’ve downloaded the apps and already started keeping track of what I’ve eaten today so I’m off to a running start. I’m going to take advantage of the gym that I pay for with my grad fees and go to it before work.
I’m also going to take advantage of the healthcare that I pay for with those fees…but that’s another post.
I’m not going to turn this blog into one of those health freak ones, but I did want to let y’all know ahead of time so that you won’t be shocked when you start seeing the posts.
I know that blogs are typically kept light, not too many deep dark secrets are revealed, but I made a promise to myself that I was going to be real and honest when I started this blog and my weight loss journey is as real and honest as it gets.
Pray for me y’all, I know I’m going to need it!

I just started doing WW again [yes, I'm a repeater too!] The new point system isn't so bad – vegetables and fruit is zero points! I'm pretty sure I'm turning orange from all the carrots I'm eating.

I have been snacking on fruits and veggies since Sunday grateful that they're zero points!! I like the new system!
