[Day 7]: Recommend a book for us to read. Why do you think it’s important?
My recommendation is more of a series than one book in particular. This was actually the first “adult book series” I ever read, and I’m still reading it because James Patterson is still putting out books in this series. I’ve always been interested in criminology and when this series was introduced to me I latched on and haven’t stopped reading them.
I’m talking about
Starting in 1993 with the release of ‘Along Came a Spider’ (which was turned into a movie with Morgan Freeman playing Alex Cross in 2001) to number 18 in the series, ‘Kill Alex Cross’ the series. A third movie based off the series is set to be released this year with Tyler Perry taking on the role of Alex Cross. I personally see someone like Denzel Washington when I think of Alex, but hey, what do I know. The series is amazing and I recommend it. It makes you think, there’s a love story, it pulls your heart strings while taking you on the roller coaster ride of your life!!
I've never read these! I'll have to put them on my reading list!
Please do! The best part about them is that you don't have to start at the beginning of the series, each one is a story in itself and Patterson gives you backstory in his own interesting way. 🙂
