Friday’s Letters

I’m sitting at my desk listening to a Kanye playlist and bobbing my head to the beat; all is well.  These letters will be kind of all over the place, but go with me on this.

You are an amazing person and boss! Your witty quips and random sayings always keep me in stitches, and you have the kindest heart.  You keep us on our toes, but in a good way.  I want to thank you for manning the other computer for me today so I could buy that OVO Fest ticket.  You were all over Ticketmaster like you were buying tickets for you to see Maxwell instead me going to see Drake.  Thanks for praying with me on the big and minute things, like when we prayed for me to get a seat in section 100 or 200 this morning.  We joked that you have to be specific with God, but He answered and now I have to book a direct flight to Toronto in August to keep my part of the deal up.

I’m so proud of you!! You’re heading to Maryland soon to start another chapter of your life, and though I’ll miss you I know you’ll excel in your PhD program.  This is just another excuse for me to go to Maryland!

Thank you for all the ‘girl’s nights’ we’ve had this week.  Thanks for listening and giving me unbiased, sound advice.  I almost couldn’t believe that you didn’t have a bottle opener last night when I was trying to open that bottle of wine, but I made due with that fruit peeler and beater from your hand mixer, huh?  I’m a regular McGyver! Lol!

I’M SO PROUD OF YOU!!  You walked across that stage and received your degree about 3 hours ago, and  you know that if I didn’t have to work I would’ve been there.  We’re definitely celebrating this weekend.

Happy Birthday!! I may not agree with every decision you make in your personal life (ie: interrupting Taylor Swift, dating Kim Kardashian), but you are a musical genius and you deserve to be recognized for it. Here are a few of my favorites by him!!
